QuestionsLook through photos from some of Stanley's recent fishing trips and see what kind of fish Lake Nacogdoches has to offer.
Photo GalleryBeautiful Lake Nacogdoches was impounded in 1976 and has a surface area of 2,212 acres at normal pool. The maximum depth of the lake is 40 feet. It is located on Loco Bayou, 10 miles west of Nacogdoches off FM 225.
The most popular game fish at Lake Nacogdoches is the largemouth bass. Numbers of bass are relatively high and an excellent fishery exists. Lake Nacogdoches is known for producing trophy-sized bass and has produced three ShareLunker entries exceeding 13 pounds.
Fall, winter, and spring months are when anglers are most successful at catching largemouth bass. Due to cooler water temperatures, fish are active for longer periods of the day and are typically found in shallow water.

I spent a wonderful day fishing with Stanley, today. The water was muddy after a couple of rainy days, but Stanley was able to find enough fish to make me happy. The conversation was fun, and the fish I caught were nice 'biguns'. I'll be looking forward to another trip with Stanley one of these days.
My amazing husband suprised me with a guided fishing trip with Stanley. Stress free; no cleaning fish, no cleaning up, no loading the boat. If anyone is looking for a geat gift idea, Stanley is a great guide.
Thank you! My boys had a great time. You wore them out and they made great memories.
Thank you Stanley. My boys had a great time.
What a fantastic day of crappie fishing with Stanley! Totally exceeded our expectations, highly recommended. His wife Kay fixed us a great lunch which was unexpected, and we took home lots of fish! The Gresham's worked very hard to make sure we had a great time, which we most certainly did. Thank you very much Stanley and Kay, hope to see you early next year!
Marcus and I had a blast today. Thank you again for a great time.
Thank you SO much for the great day of fishing Stanley. Really enjoyed the company and the fishing
My son and I went on a guided trip with Stanley last week. We had a very enjoyable time catching bass and listening to Stanley's stories. I guarantee Stanley will try his hardest to put you where the fish are. He has fished lake Nacogdoches for many years and knows every creek channel, hump, brush pile and "honey hole" on the lake. Give him a try. You will not be disappointed! You might even get some of Kay's (his wife) world famous miniature chocolate chip cookies!!
Awesome! That’s how I would describe my day on Lake Nacogdoches with Stanley Gresham. Stanley worked hard all day long to keep me on fish and show me different techniques. Stanley loves to fish and shares his knowledge acquired from many years of tournament fishing with anglers lucky enough to book a trip. I’ll definitely be back. Thanks Stanley.
Stanley Gresham has great knowledge of Lake Nacogdoches, was excellent in some of recommendations he made to me on how to fish this lake. Would highly recommend him as a guide, he really knows lake and conditions. Good Guy!
Great job Stanley! I have fished with lots of guides over the years and have never had a harder working or more knowledgeable guide than Stanley. I brought my college bound grandson for two days on Nac, he had a great time and learned a new method of fishing that he caught most of his fish on. Spring fishing can be tough when you get the weather against you but we had to stay with my grandsons schedule or not fish. Stanley adjusted to that and made a successful trip for us. Stanley is a good Christian man with a great work ethic who knows all the holes and stumps on the lake and will put you were the fish are safely.
Mr. Gresham, Thank you as well for putting up with us and certainly a hearty thank you for your stories (and your wife's cookies). Scott and I both had a blast, and that was not because of the 80mph wind. Great fishing for a while, but my brother and I are both experienced enough to know sometimes the weather can jump up and get you.
Thanks again, and you will be hearing from us in the near future.
With all the craziness that comes with work and the family I rarely have time to grab a rod and catch fish. Over the weekend was an exception, and the fishing was exceptional too! I fished with Stanley Gresham, he’s a guide on Lake Nacogdoches. We crushed them, and I landed my personal best 9lb!!
Super nice guy, and the most accommodating knowledgeable guide I’ve ever used.
